The one thing I’m worried about with a new director for CF
Is that it will feel different. I am still trying to keep faith that the person they choose to direct Catching Fire will do it right, but I hate that the feeling will be different. Like with the Harry Potter movies. A new director brought a new version of it, and even if it was still good, it didn’t feel like the previous movie. Some felt darker than others while some felt more magical. I guess I was just hoping that when I was able to watch the Hunger Games and Catching Fire back to back, it wouldn’t feel like anything had changed.
I’m going to say this once
I’m SO SICK of people saying Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, etc should play Finnick
- They aren’t even close to old enough. How would it look with them on screen with Jennifer, Josh, and Liam. Finnick is suppose to be mid/late 20’s. Not a 16 year old, halfway through puberty kid.
- Having some tween pop star in these movies will ruin the characters and the story.
- None of these kids are actually ACTORS. I don’t care that Justin Bieber was in CSI or whatever. That doesn’t make him movie worthy. They didn’t put him in there for his acting. They put him in there for ratings and revenue. Just like they did with Taylor Swift.
I have no problem with the people cheering for Armie Hammer, Joey Graceffa, or Alex Pettyfer. Even if they aren’t my pick, I don’t have a problem with them. I just hope whoever is chosen, the fandom welcomes them and keeps a positive attitude, because we should all realize by now that the casting directors will pick the person who can embody the whole character.

Day 25: Your dream cast: I think the cast they have now is perfect. As for the next book I want Scout Taylor-Compton as Johanna, Michael Emerson or Terry O’Quinn as Beetee, and Thad Luckinbill as Finnick.
I know I’ve posted about this before but I want to get her name out there. Scout Taylor-Compton. I think she would make a perfect Johanna. She’s been in Halloween and The Runaways with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. She is edgy and could definitely play the gritty, sarcastic Johanna.
How I imagine the Capitol wedding dresses Katniss has to try on.
I got too lazy halfway through making this which is why I used the HG symbol and the words are wobbly.
I think Scout Taylor-Compton should play Johanna. She isn’t very known but has been in movies like The Runaways with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning and Halloween (2007) and Halloween II (2009). She definitely has the skills to play a sly, cunning, gritty Johanna.
